Mocking the shit out of this tattoo isn’t supporting neoliberalism (I’m a Bernie voter) - it’s mocking the shit out of someone who has a dumb tattoo.

I’m not a fan of this idea that disagreeing with someone who supports a candidate = disagreeing with the candidate. This person clearly supports Bernie. This person did

Our culture’s obsession with forgiveness is enough to send me into a blind rage sometimes.

I think part of it comes from conflating “forgiveness” with “acceptance.” I can come to terms with the fact that someone hurt me, that their behavior was utterly inappropriate and reprehensible, that I should not trust that

Thanks for the reminder of why I’ll probably never go to Stagecoach.

Late to the party, but where is this anti-Barry/Iris sentiment? I mean, I can see enjoying the part where they have to date other people, take a slow burn and find their way to each other as adults, or even wanting her to stay with Eddie in Season 1, but now?

Can Oliver just be alone forever? He’s a horrible romantic partner, and every woman he’s dated in the show deserves better. I would be completely down for Oliver having a string of dysfunctional relationships and Felicity finding a slightly less emotionally constipated hero to dated.

She’d have to be crazy to think being with Oliver is a good idea.

I turn into a cliche rom-com wine-toting best friend every time I think of them. Just shouting at the screen “Girl, you could do better!”

I don’t know about slow dance, but for school dance boners in general, the answer is 90s R&B group Next. The song “Too Close” is literally about getting hard on the dance floor, rubbing it against your dance partner, and her telling you to step back. It is the national anthem of dance floor boners.

The argument that tuition isn’t fair pay hinges around the idea that the life of the student athlete is scheduled such that academics and athletics are in direct competition. They’re scheduling their classes around a demanding practice schedule, which usually cuts into available courses/affects which prerequisites for

My Catholic, Alabama elementary school taught us this in the nineties, and it was completely non-controversial. Oh, post 9/11 Evangelicals, the ways in which you set education back.

Idk - Boseman doesn’t have a devoted fanbase calling themselves Bosebitches. Though now that I think about it, I’d be down for that.

I feel like the casting process is as follows: “Who’s a black guy we know? Anthony Mackie? Michael B. Jordan? Too recognizable. Boyega? Not avail, shooting Star Wars. Who’s that guy who was in those last five black movies? He’s working, but not recognizable enough to be distracting. Boseman, yeah? Black people like

So we now have incontrovertible proof that Drake is the child of Uncle Denzel.

Ugh. I know the feeling. I keep on getting excited for train lines (like the one that’s supposed to go to Santa Monica), and then realizing I’ll probably have moved off of any Metro lines by the time they’re finished.

Runyon’s kind of “eh” for me, but Griffith Park forever, yo.

What train did you take? Doing the Purple line and transferring to the red from K-Town should only take, like 45 minutes tops.

No need to besmirch my city this way - my fellow LA dwellers mock Cafe Grat pretty much every time we’re reminded it exists.

Live + 3 counts, esp. if you’re watching on the network’s own streaming site/service, because you can’t skip ads there, so they still get ad dollars for that. Same with Hulu, I think (I know you can’t skip ads on the Hulu app for Apple TV/Roku/etc., I just don’t know if they report their numbers to the networks

Most of the networks have streaming sites that put the episodes up the next morning, and viewership on those sites (as well as Hulu) counts for ratings, so even if you don’t pay for TV, you can watch legally and for free/low cost in a way that affects ratings.

I’d also say she doesn’t need all of that because she appears to live a fairly “normal” and private life. Constant pursuit of fame is *pricey*; it takes a lot of money to keep up with the Joneses (or the Carters or Wests or Kardashians, as the case may be). Not being involved in all that probably allows her a bit more

People who call Silver Lake “East L.A.” tend to be people who have no idea Lincoln Heights and Boyle Heights exist. Hipsters be parochial as fuck.
