And yet, Pace being in this (and the sudden lack of Mad Men episodes) is convincing me to give this series a chance…

The best parts of HIMYM haven't been there since the early days. Season 1 was pretty great, because it toyed with having a narrator that knew everything that would happen, but also wasn't omniscient. Some details had to be given "secondhand" and others were completely unknown. It added some nice variety and it made

That's ludicrous.

So, next season, they can drop the character drama focused on Sherlock and Watson and how fans talk about them and go back to being a good detective show that has an undercurrent of character development, right? Right?!

I found the speech to be pretty terrible. Mainly because it can't decide what it is. Is it Sherlock using a formula laid out in a book to push people's buttons? Is it him being self-aware of how people (supposedly) tolerate his behavior? Why does he act that way if he's self-aware now? This dilemma plagues the season.

I thought it was pretty clear the initially bland premise was just a springboard for a greater story. And ultimately, I don't think the ending it much of a cheat simply because the day couldn't actually be saved. That stands out. Most TV shows would resolve everything with a nice bow on top. Rick's antidotes would

That's how I'd describe the entire season.

You think the Triad episode was the worst?
