Uh... am I being stupid? Because my assumption this whole time has been that it refers to The One Ring itself, which holds sway over the other rings of power:
“One ring to rule them all” = The Lord of the Rings.

I thought it stood for Orange Juice and it was some sort of student slang for saying they were really into healthy eating or something.

Finally read mellowstupid’s 7-months after release review of The Last Jedi and it was the same take as I’d read three zillion times already on the internet.
