The games still count. Practice can accomplish the goals of the preseason. The preseason doesn’t do a whole lot of good when the players who will get 80% of the playing time once the real games start play 25% of the games in the preseason.

But it didn’t happen in practice. It happened during a game that didn’t count. This article made clear that it could have happened in Week 1 or at any other time, but when it happens in a game that means something, or in practice, it is in service of something. This injury happened largely in service of revenues.
I don’t like it. I just live in their WWE Universe.
From a longtime subscriber... Just don’t. Trust me on this one.
The NFL needs a fall guy.
Weeks 3 (Murder): OJ, Aaron Hernandez, and the dude that played for the Packers that ended up being a serial killer.
Oh yeah, you just know some unpaid IT or PR intern is getting his ass handed to him today about this and totally thinking “This is so not worth three college credits.”
Weeks 4 - End of Series (Domestic Violence): Ray Rice, Adrian Peterson, Brandon Marshall, Ray McDonald, Greg Hardy, ...(full list exceeds Kinja maximum)
To be fair, i dont think any of that had come out as of the 2014 rookie symposium.
MMQB is the propaganda arm of the NFL. Report their bullshit, show some faux outrage when it burns you to try and trick the reader into thinking you have a shred of journalistic integrity. Then go back to doing the NFL’s PR for them. Klemko knew what he was getting into when he signed up to work for the master of it,…
Holy shit I would watch NFL: Scared Straight. CC and Sapp could host. Each week you could bring in three notorious NFLers to scream at the rooks!
Because Carter’s a recovering addict story, and Sapp...lookit him! He’s so jolly!
But they still put the video up on their website. It seems that it doesn’t matter when the NFL sees the video, it only matters when the public sees the video.
Eh, I think it’s the same reason most drug counselors are former addicts. When it comes to learning how to navigate something that (I assume, anyway) is pretty substantial and overwhelming, you probably want to hear from someone who has been in their fair share of trouble, less you just tune out the speaker as someone…
Are there two types of blue waffles out there or can I continue throwing up in my mouth?
What if its defense is drunk, has a slight reputation, and nobody’s going to believe it?
It’s almost as if Klemko is a person to whom blame is deliberately and falsely attributed in order to deflect blame from another party, such as the NFL. Is there a word for such a.... guy?
Ballboy? More like Ballman.
“Wow, did you see his range?”
