I feel like a lot of these comments made it only a few episodes and stopped watching. If you can make it to the second half of season 1 it turns into a very different show. Season 2 is kind of the same. First half is meh and then it gets going again.

My dog used to eat hot dogs as training treats. It was one of the few foods that motivated her to listen. She stayed with a friend of ours and wouldn’t eat for him so he feed her hot dogs for the weekend. He’s now uncle hot dogs and she loves him.

What he said. Your retirement investments should be incredibly boring and dull. My retirement IRA and my taxable account are very different portfolios.

Plenty of high yielding bond funds out there earning over 5%. After fees you’ll probably end up with about 4-5% but that’s better than investing in the ARKK ETF which has lost over 20% of its value in a few days.

Dark. Hard not to spoil something but Martha and Jonas are rather important to the whole story.

If you have a bunch of small 401ks from past jobs they really should be consolidated. Compound interest and all that.

I can’t guarantee a client site would let me hit my company VPN though. Depending on the site in question there are times I can’t actually reach the internet. I also need the ability to statically configure my IP address at times as well.

Maybe I’m a bit unusual but a policy like that would brick me from being able to do my job. I’ve had to take my laptop to all sorts of client sites and get on their networks or access equipment at my own house.

The idea of the human chess game has shown up in other media as well. I remember it from Carrion Comfort by Dan Simmons. I take it as more of a metaphor than anything intended as a version of reality but I can understand why some find it offensive.

Already done. I’m too old for that game.

My dog and I are probably safe. I don’t think she’d actually go after us. I think she just wants to make me miserable since she’s miserable. I should add that we live in a remodeled brick ranch and only moved 4 miles. It’s a really nice house. But it’s not “her neighborhood” and she has to commute on an interstate now

Unfortunately I have a huge amount of money in this house. Moving out and giving this to her would wreck me financially. Police report probably isn’t worth much since I have no proof that she wrecked the house at this point. Probably should have called the police the night I came home but I was in shock at what I saw.

Fiance backhanded me in the face (not hard enough to bruise, just hard enough to hurt) the other night in front of her friends. We’ve been having issues for months since we purchased a house together. She insists she never wanted to buy a house before we got married but signed on the dotted line and hates living here.

I do not understand why Toyota will not bring back the 3rd gen green (jade mica I believe). I had one in that color and I’d love to be able to eventually buy a 4Runner in that color again. This green is ugly as hell.

Depends. There’s quite a few towns out in the mountains and more light pollution than you might expect in some areas. That said it is quite dark in most of the mountains and the night skies are amazing. Not as dark as parts of Utah but still awesome.

Me. I like snowboarding moguls. And trees. When I was learning to ride almost all of my friends were skiers. I either kept up or I rode alone. Needless to say I learned to keep up.

Different ramp entirely. This is the one on the west side of the Eisenhower tunnel. The fatal accident was below the runaway ramp near the Morrison exit.

We love our Instant Pot. For things that actually make sense to cook in it. Like rice. And beans. And potatoes. This I can make on the stove just as easily. Why would I bother with the Instant Pot?

My fiance has a 2004 with about 155,000 miles. I have a 2008 with around 135,000. Both of them are running beautifully. Owning a 4Runner was one of the first things we flirted about. We love them and they are absolutely brilliant to take up in the mountains and drive to remote trailheads. I joke that it’s not the

Southwest has been by far the worst for me lately. To the point my fiance and I refuse to fly them any longer. Consistent multiple hour delays with little to no explanation. We both have credits for previous flights that we refuse to use because we’d likely end up getting delayed and screwed again.
