Maybe I’m a bit unusual but a policy like that would brick me from being able to do my job. I’ve had to take my laptop to all sorts of client sites and get on their networks or access equipment at my own house.

So was I. I was so disappointed when I saw you had to assemble it. I don’t even really want a drone but make it a transformer and I’m totally in.

Not sure why Utah doesn’t get that they can do both. No tourists are going to Vernal for example. Go nuts with oil and gas drilling out there. Keep it away from the places tourists visit. Simple. Everyone wins.

I’m not going to mince words. I had to work for those raging assholes for a year as a contractor. They are the worst company I have ever encountered in over 20 years in my industry by far. They treat employees like total crap and have no regard for common decency.

9-10 are just plain awful. I remember just skipping entire sections of them. It’s not like you really miss anything.

I thought the story was fine but the gameplay was awful. I got so sick of contrived situations involving ladders and floating pallets that I barely finished the game. Not to mention the absurd linear layout of everything. It didn’t help that I had just finished Horizon Zero Dawn before playing it and the comparison in

Because you could just as easily get hit by a car? Actually right now that’s still probably more likely than getting infected if you travel to say....Brazil. I got whooping cough (or at least I think that’s what I got) on a trip to Nepal. It wouldn’t stop me from travelling again. Some people think travel is worth it.

The idea of the human chess game has shown up in other media as well. I remember it from Carrion Comfort by Dan Simmons. I take it as more of a metaphor than anything intended as a version of reality but I can understand why some find it offensive.

I love that site. He actually made chemistry absolutely hilarious. The entry on FOOF is gold.

I don’t think so. There are a few heritage railroads around that still have steam trains but I don’t think there are any on a large scale. Certainly not enough to need much coal.

They haven’t officially gotten a divorce. They’re just thinking about it.

The ELT and GMT are already being built in Chile. Is the scientific payoff worth it to have all 3 in the same hemisphere?

Not just tonight. But ever again.

I’d have more sympathy for the native Hawaiians on this one if there weren’t already a bunch of telescopes up there. There was also an offer on the table to dismantle a few in order to secure the site for this one. I don’t know if that offer still stands at this point. I know, past wrongs don’t make it right to put

Already done. I’m too old for that game.

My dog and I are probably safe. I don’t think she’d actually go after us. I think she just wants to make me miserable since she’s miserable. I should add that we live in a remodeled brick ranch and only moved 4 miles. It’s a really nice house. But it’s not “her neighborhood” and she has to commute on an interstate now

Unfortunately I have a huge amount of money in this house. Moving out and giving this to her would wreck me financially. Police report probably isn’t worth much since I have no proof that she wrecked the house at this point. Probably should have called the police the night I came home but I was in shock at what I saw.

Fiance backhanded me in the face (not hard enough to bruise, just hard enough to hurt) the other night in front of her friends. We’ve been having issues for months since we purchased a house together. She insists she never wanted to buy a house before we got married but signed on the dotted line and hates living here.

I do not understand why Toyota will not bring back the 3rd gen green (jade mica I believe). I had one in that color and I’d love to be able to eventually buy a 4Runner in that color again. This green is ugly as hell.

That’s like saying more cheese is always better even if you get a bunch of moldy cheese.
