I think it would make more sense for Nintendo to become the publisher for Mighty No. 9 like they did with Bayonetta 2.
If they're smart, they'd contract Comcept to help them with it. Inafune gets to make a MM game again, and it doesn't suck. Everyone wins!
Rock was a helper robot who was upgraded to fight Wily's bots.
Well, Rayman Origins ended up looking like this:
I am totally supporting this because 1.) OMG a new 2-D MegaMan that isn't a tired return to the retro 8-bit style (9 was great, 10 was going back to the well once too many times, though it was a fun game), and 2.) I want Capcom to realize how gravely they fucked up.
Well, yeah. The only reason it's not Mega Man, is because Capcom refused to let Inafune make a Mega Man game. Even though he had offered to still collaborate and make games for Capcom after he left, they refused. They then went on to troll Mega Man fans and seemingly try to bury Mega Man, outside of merchandising.
Because he no longer has the rights to his own creation.
and the people at Capcom are really pissed right now, not just because one of they're biggest franchises got ripped off. but also because if this succeeds then they will know that if they had kept Inafune and given him full creative freedom over the Mega Man franchise they would make tons of money.
Is it just me, or is EVERYTHING about that EXACTLY like Mega Man?
so... is it "I can't believe it's not Mega Man?"
Obligatory: LOOK AT MY HORSE, MY HORSE IS AMAZING.
He should be careful. Swinging a sword around like that may cause a FATALITY.
Wonder if the enchantress will become playable too.
The cinematics and trailers are always so badass, why can't the gameplay and story be as badass? :(
And yet he's the most well received characters among a group consisting of a whiny teen, a douchebag, two bloodthirsty vengeful lesbians and the abominations that is Vanille.
