The subway entrances all have dogs and guys with machine guns and body armor pretty much 24/7. Honestly this really is about the most secure place to live in the entire city (maybe aside from Trump Tower now). I guess everyone just got used to it.

I actually live at 15 Broad and I do understand the legitimate security concerns we have here — our building is directly across the street from the stock exchange and is surrounded by barricades on all sides, so we’re particularly sensitive to the idea that someone might slip through to commit a terrorist attack.…
I miss the ‘90s.
Buy this immediately. This is a steal.
The people who tell them how to spend their money surely are.
A big component of urban police work is intimidation as deterrent. You may not like it, but that’s a fact. If the criminal element doesn’t fear the police, they’re far more likely to commit crime.
They ride bikes a lot too.
Yep. This is part of the reason depreciation hits these cars so hard. The first owner treats it like gold; it’s still under warranty and he can afford to have it frequently detailed, buy the best tires, keep it garaged, etc.
Kids today are fucking awful. I know that’s a cliche but seriously, the internet and social media has fried their fucking brains. How did we let it get so bad though?
I’ve looked at the CT6, it’s actually one of my favorite new cars right now and I may be in the market in the next few months. I’ve always driven a Mercedes (literally always, since high school through today at age 40), but I’d really like to give Cadillac a shot here.
It really depends on the gig, and a lot of modeling gigs have some kind of dancing requirement anyway. So not really out of the ordinary for a working model either way. The agency just asks the girl before they book the casting if she’s comfortable with the dance requirement if she doesn’t have a background as a…
My wife is a model, and she’s been called on castings for cheerleading gigs with major franchises. The acrobatic/athletic stuff is covered by girls who have that experience (and are usually on contract with the teams), but a lot of the girls on the field come directly from modeling agencies, especially if they need…
Cheerleaders are, in fact, exactly the same as models and are often hired directly from modeling agencies. Same as grid girls, who are also hired from modeling agencies.
Probably had a suspended license and didn’t want to spend the night in central booking and/or get arrested in the middle of Times Square in front of all the strangers he was trying to impress. Now he’s really fucked.
These kids are punks. It’s really not that hard to get your hands on a C63, and judging by some of the other videos they have posted, I sincerely doubt any of them have any real money.
It was a very different time, technologically. Accurate air-to-air missiles didn’t really exist, and bomber formations were expected to number in the tens of dozens, if not hundreds.
Think about the psychology of it though. They have these fully-optioned cars on the lot, ready to go. A guy walks into the dealer and what does he want above all — instant gratification. Sure, he wouldn’t have chosen that carbon fiber package or the racing seats. But he’ll have to wait four months to get a car…
Definitely not legal in the US. Although in front-plate-optional states, you can probably get away with it on the front. Anywhere else though and you’re asking for a ticket.
Yep. Learned this one the hard way. Except not on some winter beater, but rather a 20 year old Mercedes with a highly over-engineered telescoping wiper system that cost almost a thousand bucks to repair.
