Why are the odds that they're American?

If they don't have a chopper to track you, it's way easier to get away. Also, a lot of cities/towns have strict rules on how long the police can pursue for, and for what crimes justify a pursuit.

I think SSC actually tests them on public highways out in the Nevada desert somewhere. They have a few miles closed off for a half day or something and do their high speed runs.

To be fair, the original Vector W8 was almost entirely built from scratch. The M12 was a cost cutting exercise introduced when new Indonesian investors took over the company.

Manufactured entirely in-house, except for the engine block, which was from an Oldsmobile.

I know, but they really should for the sake of sportsmanship. Bugatti isn't going to damage its brand at this point, and the Veyron is a totally different kind of car from what Koenigsegg puts out anyway.

Mercedes had it as an option on the E-class for a while as well.

I have one of those too that I bought from Autogeek. It's freakin awesome, and the only way I can clean the interior of the windshield on my wedge-shaped Esprit.

Yep I was just about to post that one too.

This was one of my all-time favorite cars when I was in high school. I worked at a country club one summer and a member had one almost exactly like this; same yellow paint, but with 5-spoke alloys in gunmetal gray. It was so damn cool.

I don't understand the hate for the styling here. How many times have we bitched that literally every supercar looks exactly the same these days. Same nose, same headlights, same side windows, same everything.

It's got a 6 liter Audi W12, putting out around 500hp and 450 torque, although there is also talk of putting the V8 from the Cadillac CTS-V in it as well.

Blasphemy! Madness!

The only company to do a proper modern high-performance/exotic SUV is Spyker, with the D12 Peking To Paris. It is completely batshit and hardcore from every angle.

Is it still going to cost ~$100k? Or have we moved beyond that also? Because if they can bring it in at a price point approximately equal to the ZR1, then they really have something there. Much more and they're in Ferrari territory, and I don't see them winning that particular fight.

Can we just get over the whole 'flying car' idea already? And by 'we', I mean humanity in general.

The point. You missed it.

I realize it's just the Hot Wheels car, but I dig those wheels.

Wow, this really is a nice price. As long as you're prepared for the repair bills to come, you're not going to get much better for this money.

I've actually shot and killed an intruder once, and ran over a guy who was trying to carjack me, breaking both his legs. Trust me, I'd be fine.
