I think the people who would vote for Trump would also vote for Putin. He’s a strong man, militaristic, anti-civil rights for Russia’s ethnic minorities and women, homophobic, and willing to bomb anything that moves. If he found Jesus, he would beat Trump in a GOP primary.

It’s been so lonely lately. My bff is having bad times with her mental illness, my partner is absent, I’m new at work and people don’t do the after-work pub, my friends are busy with kids. I’ve been going to meetups and joining clubs for my social “life.”

I took up trampolining the year I the people at work were giving me ulcers. I felt so much dread on sunday evenings, so I found a class on Sunday nights, and it really helped kill the anxiety. I also went through a lot of Soho. Exercise and drinking are the way to go! Good luck!

Deciding on a drink. Am re-watching the Brother Cadfael mysteries. It’s also cold, windy and wet where I am, so maybe coacoa with peppermint kahlua. Or maybe wine.

I’ve been contemplating restarting running. I’ve had a bunch of trouble (feet! knees! hip!) so I was doing other things for a while, but I miss the stress relief and high of running. How’d your first day go?

I’m ten years older than you, drinking alone and contemplating leaving my partner of 14 years. So on the bright side, at least you’ve got your 30s ahead of you and not about to (probably? possibly?) get divorced.

I think the kids call it ‘creating a personal brand.’ All I know is, you put 27 of them in the same room and it’s EXHAUSTING.

Having taught them in elementary school, I think this is because they’ve been encouraged to think of themselves as the star of their personal Disney caper movie.
