Ugh, that’s the worst feeling. Nerves can be unpredictable. But who knows, I’ve had interviews I thought went badly and I still got a call. I had one where I was so prepared I rambled on and bored them to tears (didn’t get a call.) Maybe they were impressed with your brevity?

Are eggs ok? I love poached eggs for dinner. Lentils are great in so many things (soup, stew, rice) and cook faster than other legumes.

I’ve seen green shimmery aurora borealis in person. In pictures you don’t really get the sense of how it can fill up the whole sky.

I made french toast for a late breakfast/ lunch. I guess it was brunch. And I made a lot of coffee in my french press. I’m still having nightmares about finding roaches in the staff room keurig machine. A french press harbours no roaches!

I didn’t tell you! There’s a squirrel that keeps coming through the windows at my school! So now I have to chase squirrels out of my classroom too! When will this madness end??

A legislator on the east coast had no issue with keeping child-marriage when he had the chance to vote to end it. If it doesn’t affect him, why should he care? I admire your optimism, but I bet a lot of those 23 states can’t be bothered. Sigh.

That’s how I prefer to meet people too, but it gets tougher and tougher to make new friends the older you get. I’ve been joining sports clubs to try to meet like-minded people and expand my social circle.
