I think I read somewhere that it's law (Idk if the law in MO, or the whole of the US) to have the report filed within 24 hours of any incident. So immediately, right there they broke the law/rules, regardless of whether or not the officer in question was in the wrong.

I wish I could say I was surprised. This is the same department that never even filed the official report in the first place; the St. Louis department had to do it for them, oh, eleven days after the shooting.
