Yeah, me either. At this point, it probably won't ever happen. A real shame.

They have a better shot at being nominated for Outstanding Variety Show than Outstanding Comedy, so that's why. I don't know if I necessarily agree either.

This was actually the first year that they submitted as a comedy. The others have been drama. The show hoped that submitting as a comedy would help their awards chances.

The year Melissa McCarthy won an Emmy for "Bridesmaids" instead of the TV show she was nominated for.

I am pulling for Veep myself, especially since we know that the voters watch the show. Since JLD and Tony Hale (finally!) were able to win last year.

They had a different category, lumped in with lots of different acts. The rules changed in the 00s and that's when Amy Poehler started getting nominated in Supporting Actress.

Yep, that's right. Any show submitting as "variety" cannot submit anyone in lead acting categories.

At least Amy Poehler got a Golden Globe this year.

They changed categories to get William H Macy in.

Modern Family is not nominated for writing this year, for the first time. If there were ever a year for someone else to take Best Comedy, this would be it.

SNL actually gets at least one cast member nominated a year. Amy Poehler, Kristen Wiig, and Bill Hader were all nominated in previous years. Now Kate McKinnon can be added in to that list.

I love these reviews. Best part of my Wednesday, to relive all of these! I have watched the series several times through, but I will need to do it again soon.

Yeah, that was always one of my least favorites. Though I think it's hysterical that Mary Lynn Rajskub used that in an interview with Conan for why she never looks at what people say about her on the internet anymore.

Yeah, I can't think of any reason for him to be there if there wasn't more "24" in some capacity being announced.

Yeah, the whole "I can never trust you again" that she threw at Mark for letting Heller leave to get dronesploded probably won't make it as sad for her.

I went to a Mass Effect 2 place several times in the last few episodes with Yvonne as Miranda (of course) and Not Curtis as Jacob Taylor.

I totally forgot about Jack keeping Audrey's first husband from medical care to save someone with information.

Kiefer pronounces is "nucular" also. It's unfortunate.

Everyone always talks about Behrooz, but never finding out what happened to Lynne Kresge was the worst 24 ever did. She was way more of a central character than Behrooz was, and she was never mentioned again after the fall.

One of my favorite Television Without Pity (RIP) nicknames was "BiCarrieous" for Carrie Bendis. Some of their nicknames were not awesome, but that one was always great.
