If it makes you smile.
These sticker packages make me sad. I kid of wish we could still order a car like we used to.
Yes.
In a perfect world, I would have both
Well, to each their own then.
I guess he didnt get the Memo that the Challenger is 2nd in its class on JD Powers quality Survey.
The Challenger can actually fit more than a lunchbox for cargo with 4 people in it, and the people will be a lot more comfortable
Bingo! I think the interior is great! Nothing cheap about it at all. I bet if the writer actually owned one he’d feel a little differently.
Besides, the old classic Challengers had really crappy materials quality as well. I grew up in a family full of them, and our house was replete with bitching about the crappy Mopar starters, the always-sagging doors that were too heavy for their hinges, the floppy seatbacks, the cracking dashboard vinyl, and all that…
They must be doing something right. Challengers push 911s and Wranglers for the resale value crown.
What’s REALLY amazing is that the interior in this car is light years beyond what the 14 and older were. And it was RAVED about by quite a few people when it came out. In fact, some people say the 300 is class leading with basically all the same parts.
Honestly? If I bought a high-perfomance car, the first thing I did would be rip out all the sound-proofing and anti-rattle crap...delete the “infotainment” system, because I’m being entertained by driving a high-performance car.
You know what would be a pretty easy mod?
Ditto. I’m a more than a little tired of the auto journalists complaining about such things as “soft touch” materials.
You know I too hear all this complaining about how cheap the interior in FCA products are. My daily driver is an FCA products, a 2013 Dodge Durango. Maybe I just have have low standards, but I think the interior is pretty darn nice. Now you want to see a cheap interior, you should have seen my old 2007 Ram 1500. It…
At that price point no one cares and no one has that kind of money to waste on recovering the interior with bespoke materials. It’s awfully expensive to go that route.
I’ve sat in the newest Charger and Challenger, and I really don’t get the complaints about the interior.
“why don’t more Challenger owners have the crappy interior panels on these cars replaced with finer leather, aluminum, carbon fiber, wood or even just wrapped with something?”
