No really its not. Know your car, dont go full throttle. See? Simple. Lol... im assuming that thing is pushing 750/1000? Common sense as a car guy/gal says not to go full throttle right there.

CobraJoe... must be a mustang reference, huh? Most important part of throttle control is knowing when to keep your damn foot off it.
Oh man, I know that shifter all too well. My dad owns 720 #14. Best part is when the linkage malfunctions going from 3rd to 4th and the transmission gets stuck in two gears. JD fixed it in the x30 tractors, but I don’t know if it was corrected in the x20's or not. Otherwise you have to be VERY careful shifting from…
My dad’s truck - 1954 Chev - had one of those super low 1st gears. We called it “stump-puller low”. Today the truck is boasting a high-compression 283, 4bbl, and a six speed manual from (I think) a C5 Corvette.
No One buys a car like this because they HAVE to have it. certainly not for the performance. They buy it for the details. How it makes you feel. Its mobile theater. There is nothing theatrical or entertaining in that interior. The gloriously underwhelming shining example of this is the shifter.
Andrew, you need moar top fuel in your life! ;-)
Years ago I built a 427 top-oiler for a project. I can tell you FE stands for effing expensive.
No one likes the tuna here.
As a Miata owner, I know there are also plenty of self-proclaimed “car enthusiasts” that wouldn’t understand your desire for a beat up first-gen MR2. There are a surprising number of closed minds in our circle of car brotherhood.

The Monarch actually looks fantastic with that card on the hood. I don’t know if it’s the color combo, or the way the rectangle fits right on the hood...but it actually works.
I have been on the other side of this issue, and can definitely endorse this opinion. If you modify a car and then sell it, you can count on getting little to none of the cost back from your mods. You’d probably be better off to keep your original parts and swap them back on before selling. Then you could at least…
How obsurd! I’ll take twenty!
The cake is a lie.
A debadged car always makes me think. “been damaged and replaced cheaply” before anything else. Not that its true among this crowd
I have nothing against de-badging, but I always thought “V8" and “4WD” were two badges that deserved to stick around.
I sold my wife’s 94 Camry a few years back. It was 15 years old, but was immaculate and only had 57,000 miles. I asked $4000, which was high, but I was in no rush to sell it, so I figured I’d stick at that number for a bit to see if we got it. I can’t tell you how many “I could get a...” phone calls I got. “For that…
When you buy someone else's project, it is wise to tear it all apart and verify that everything was installed correctly. If the "welded-in" rollbar starts jumping around when you are taking it home, you can easily fix that. When the "professionally rebuilt" engine throws a rod through the block, you are usually…
Yet those places in the US with no inspections continue to exist without all road going citizens being killed by swarms of non-inspected cars.
