I was looking more at the acceleration and 1/4 time numbers, the ‘71 Challenger is pretty much dead even with the new manual 5.7 Challenger. (The 8 speed auto is quite a bit quicker).

I’m with you. If any vehicle should be overpowered, it should be the minivans.

I love the turbines, I had a set on the foxbody Thunderbird I used to have as a project car. I’m sure they’d look good on the modern muscle cars too, turbines were common aftermarket wheels in the time period the modern retro style comes from.

The application and engine personality are both very important to determine if a car is “overpowered”.

I still doubt it. If they ever get that cheap, they’ll get snapped up by builders and hot rod shops for engine swaps.

The 5.7l Hemi in the Challenger is often made fun of for being so damn slow.

I love most of the SN95 split 3 spoke wheels, they’re continuing on the style of the old TRX wheels on the early foxbodies, but I’ve always hated those rounded split 3s that are on the S550 in the pic up top. (the old TRX wheels might not be the best match for the S550 either, they’re a bit too old school in the wheel

In stock form, the Mustang II is nothing exciting.

There is a certain charm in crappy and abused cars trying to do their best. I’d probably enjoy the Aveo to a certain extent.

“Drive it like a sports car”. Yeah, I’m not going to do that in a 160hp 2 ton vehicle with a high center of gravity. I’m sure it’s perfectly safe most of the time, but it’s also the same vehicle that one of my HS classmates died in. (Probably caused by driving drunk, but it was a rollover.)

Fair enough, I haven’t driven an Aveo or a Caliber or a Optra, but I have owned and driven several maliase era cars. Squeaks were everywhere in my near 200k Foxbody Mustang hatchback, and I have driven manuals where the shift bushings were so worn that 1st could be confused as neutral.

There’s nothing wrong with these cars. They’re fine. Either will get you from your garage to your destination in something resembling comfort. Both cars can be had cheap and both cars will get decent enough fuel economy. Neither vehicle has technology or features that will excite (the Corolla could even be had with a

Gumball Rally!

I’d argue that Gumball Rally is the better version of Cannonball Run.

Yeah, it took me a while, but I ended up realizing that I didn’t like anything about the car, other than the looks.

I’ve had a Legacy GT for a while for my “dadmobile”. It does not make for a good family vehicle, at least for small kids. Getting a toddler into a rear facing seat was especially difficult, the rear door opening made for a “mail slot” style opening to thread the kid through. But, I got rid of it before the booster

I absolutely hate the “Black paint with machined surface” wheels.

Add some better shocks too, and you’ll have a shockingly good handling car for a boat.

The split-3 spokes can work:

I usually use replacement parts as a good excuse to upgrade, and I’m often not a fan of OEM ride either. KYB is one of my favorite brands for shocks/struts too.
