Symbian phones also have 4+ inch screens. This article was iPhone vs. Android. It should have been iPhone vs. Everyone Else. Every other type of phone has increased in size over the years.

The iPhone wastes a lot of space on the front of the device. They could easily increase the screen size without changing the size of the device.

The article makes Android vs. iPhone. In actuality it is iPhone vs. Every Other Type of Phone. Android, Windows, Symbian all have screens of 4+ inches. For some reason every other type of phone has increased in size over the years except for the iPhones.

This isn't iOS vs. Android.....it is iOS vs. Every Other Mobile Opperaint System. Android, Symbian, Windows all have larger screens. For some reason Apple does not.

Why is that funny? They phones are currently working fine. Most people don't even know that an upgrade is possible. What is the big deal if they never get updated?

When you look around a bar you don't see those things. The lady is talking about phones only.

...and seeing that 12% of the people....

The title is misleading. Prices went up. The vast majority of suscribers will be paying more.

I was interested in your provider....but wow that sounds like it sucks. Maybe I would be interested in a plan like that but only if it cost $20 per month.

Or if you have G+, you can just take 8 seconds to turn off this search feature and everything is the exact same as it ever was. This article makes no sense.

My plan is still there. At least it is on the website. If I log in to my account there are more plans that I can select from also.

Even better way.....use Tmobile, sign up for the non contract plans. I get 500 minutes and 2GB of data for $45. On Verizon you get 450 minutes and 2GB for $70. Tmobile ends up costing $25 less every month. Over 24 months that adds up to $600 saved.

Maybe it will work on Tmobile.

Yes, that would be a good thing. The manufacturers could just have their own launchers. It would be simple and they could even make it available for download on other companies' phones from the market.

Of course 94.4% of the devices aren't stuck. Not one of them has been updated. The code was just released. It takes time for the manufacturers to get the ROMs ready so the phones can be updated.

See my comment below. Announcing that an update is ready (Apple) is very different from announcing that the source code is being made available (Google). It takes time to turn source code into an update. Basically Google just announces things earlier than Apple.

Some may prefer Apple Computer over Google because of the update process. That doesn't change the fact that the article is a terrible mess.

Just because Google releases the code does not mean that it is ready to go on every device. The manufacturers need time to write their ROMs.

1. There is a major difference between iOS and Android. iOS code is written and made to work on every device. Then it is released and available for download. For Android the code is written and then published. At that point it is then made to work for all the phones. Android releasing source code and iOS being

The market isn't fragmented. 94.4% of Android devices are on 2.1, 2.2, or 2.3. Basically every application in the Android Market will work on any of those versions. Fragmentation really isn't an issue.
