load times actually mater. A lot of game design currently is working around loading zones and texture pop in.  Eliminating that is actually quite interesting from a dev standpoint, and changes how levels and textures are designed. 

The new shotgun is a viable alternative. You can’t one shot but it’s pretty lethal. As a non imperative player I’m very happy with this change.

I think I’m gonna take this advice and play some D&D with my kids. They're at the right age, and interested in all the tangentially related culture. I honestly never thought of this before.

As a few people have pointed out.. this article isn’t for you. There are many people who might read it though and have it end up being the impetus for them to step back for a moment and reevaluate their gaming. “Am I actually having fun?” Some people will continue to beat their heads against the wall.
