I test drove the taco, the colorado, and frontier last spring all in the 4 banger model (yeah I want a cheap smallish pickup) the colorado was the worst interior and driving position of them. never could get the seat and steering wheel into a comfortable position and it was the only one that required I take off my

nope, the empty nesters go and get a Buick Encore. Source: My parents have two. they even traded down from their enclave to get the second. too be fair, their main claim is that my very tall and increasing mobility limited father can get in an out easily.

it’s been done. see the christie tank in the 20's. fun fact the suspension eventually got used on the T34.

I wouldn’t. the roof line is not quite tall enough. the full sized transit high roof on the other hand would be awesome

turkey if I remember correctly

the promaster is front wheel drive. it would be an interesting conversion to say the least.

I have to disagree. last spring I test drove all the full sized vans (nv, transit, promaster, even the ancient shitty GM), the small work vans (promaster city, transit connect, city express) and the four banger versions of the tacoma, colorado, frontier, and f150. Last spring I test drove pretty much all of full sized vans and small work vans, and I got to say the GM offerings are universally crappy compared to their competitors. over priced, ancient tech just doesn’t work

I test drove the transit connect and it was very car like. actually so was the promaster city. no issues with merging on a highway for either of them

happy news for you, ford says the benchs are removable in the transit connect. just big bolts in the floor and you can take them out

oh I fully get your point. after all, no one in the PL would ever do something like that
