I really don't think most of you guys understand what this is going to do for application development on the mac. The same argument was once said when apps for the iphone lunched. This market place will not only introduce new users to the idea of paying for applications but it also slows down piracy the same way…

This rule doesn't always apply. If you look at graphic cards on the Apple side, the cards actually go up in price or stay at the same price point after a year or two. I would assume this is due to demand.
