I was not a big fan of “Me,” either. It felt both industrial and up-beat cynical. Like a Sex and the City themed bachelorette party for 9-year-olds. But I really like this song and I respect the shit out of Taylor and her music. (Again, I Stan the shit out of Reputation.) 

She cares so little about what her critics think that she’s been writing songs about it for like a decade.

Hate to say it, but D&D made the right decision and maintained a holistic vision for the show’s ending. Excellent direction would have been jarring alongside piddle-poor writing.

This is broadly right, but Breen also sucks major bird. He’s a smug scold toward the players and a toady for the league and the refs.

He is also an embarrassingly corny catchphrase barker, and in the most literal sense that he gruffs his greatest-hits like “Hands down, man down” and “His mama call him Klay, I’mma call him Klay”.
