My response to the "I'm not perfect" non-apology: No one ever asked you to be perfect; all I am asking for is that you do the right thing the first time around. Not the perfect thing, but the right thing. There is a difference between the two, and you should have known that in this stage of your life.

There's a TV in lobby that plays CNN, and I just heard the following exchange:

It is. Homophobia/transphobia knows no language barrier, I'm afraid.

Mai pen rai ja! :) I'm a generation 1.5 Thai myself (born and raised there until I was 10), so some of my Thai is super-rusty. Shows like this keeps me in the loop, and lets me practice my own Thai, as I am living in an area in the US with a next-to-none Thai community.

And the, "He's a *gay* (the original word here is the "f-" word describing gay men)", as he says hi to her mom made me lol'd.

As a Thai person (here comes the anecdatum...), it looks good - for once. For all the crappy Thai dramas, this actually looks really thought provoking!

Does cooking spreading out over the weekend count? Mr.Skinny love came over to stay with my Mini-Dog and me. Here's my damage, in no particular order:

Stir-fried chicken with ginger and chili pepper on rice for Mr. Skinnylove.

LM's songs sound like they would not be out of place in the "makeover" montage of a clichéd chick flick. Not that this is a bad thing, of course. But VIVA FOREVER!!!
