Yeah, I'm curious how that will play out in season 2 (or whenever they get to book 2). The climax of the stuff in France works so well with the present day storyline in that book.

Yeah its great to see all the characters relationship with pop culture. There's lot of shows on right now that use pop culture references to developed characters, rather than going for "hey this thing mentioned that other thing!". Parks and Rec did it really well, Broad City does too.

I definitely think Bruno Mars had a boomer friendly sound, just more in the R&B/soul category than classic rock. But for all three acts, I think the halftime show would be way better for them than they would be for the halftime show. A lot of people who stick around to check out the show will like what they hear, but

I haven't finished The Passage by Michael Cronin, but it's great so far.  I think there's a movie in the works but it's much better suited to TV.
