Ok he made a pass at her. Thats not sexual harassment how was she harmed?  this me too he said she said with no proof had got to end. And for those on their soapbox 16 women cane out on the President and nobody cares. This thing seems to be selective in who the media actually believes.

Counter argument: 1st Amendment. Let’s not weaken it. If these people want to show what dickwads they are, don’t stop them.

You know...other than on Healthcare where she helped shepard through the most significant piece of social welfare legislation since the Great Society... I mean there is that. You know the thing that’s worked so well Republicans are forced to lie and pretend they support key aspects of it as opposed to simply pushing

I think I’m going to wait a week or two and see what Pelosi and the D’s do with the majority before I get this pessimistic/pissed at them. I have some amount of faith in the House to do some good (even if it comes with compromise, which I know is a dirty word around here but I’m not going to rule it out entirely.)

Why is everyone being so negative, we now have a comfortable majority in the House and can do whatever we want to reign in 45. We won a lot of races we expected to lose, cheer up.

OK, but understand that you’re trying to weigh unfalsifiable and nebulous future externalities with proven gains against poverty and quality of life that cheap energy has provided. On the whole I’m ok with having fewer carbon emissions, but a carbon tax seems like a clunky way of going about it when most of our gains

Fossil fuel energy is not “cheap” when you fully factor in the future costs of climate change. This is a prime example of externalities in action.

Of course, unless there’s actual consequences for the students’ actions, all that embracing of diversity is just lip-service.

These weren’t white kids.

Sodomy laws were traditionally used as a way to prosecute homosexual behavior. They were clarifying that this is not likely the case here, which is helpful for those of us who aren’t familiar with Oregon’s criminal laws.

it’s impossible to know the mind of Norm, I don’t believe the Greek Gods bestowed that Gift on anyone alive. I can only theorise that his saying “down’s syndrome” is something he believes is less offensive than how he would say “retarded” all the time instead of the lateral move that it really is.

He’s clearly doing a joke, as it doesn’t seem like he’s really that much of a callous misogynist, but it’s just more proof that he’s doing an absolutely terrible job of handling this.”

I mean people see he’s doing a bit right? He’s baiting more outrage with purposefully inappropriate apologies. It’s actually kind of genius.

No. Norm actually tells jokes. He does more than complain.

I love Norm McDonald and I will always love Norm McDonald.

A big part of his stick is telling jokes that aren’t funny. People don’t have to like it, but he knew how it would be taken and that it was in poor taste. That’s why he did it. His “roast” or the “moth joke” on Conan are the best examples of his brand of humor.

“any women who were offended by Louis CK’s recent surprise set at the Comedy Cellar should get their money back plus $200 so they ‘could buy some nice shoes.’”

I wish I was such a good person that this made me not find Norm Macdonald a hilarious comedian. Oh well.

Norm really has you people seething lol.

Classic Norm.
