First, there’s a world of difference between releasing drug offenders and murderers. It’s definitely not the same and insulting to the murder victim to conflate that it may be. They’re on the opposite criminal spectrum from each other.

Real prison reform would ideally encompass integrated education, therapy, and employment programs aimed at helping the offender reintegrate into civilian life upon release.
