We'll just have to respectfully disagree about whether or not she was wrong. I personally think she showed enough respect by dressing modestly and wearing the hijab to begin with- I would have thought differently if she had shown up in some miley cyrus/nicki minaj type costume, but she just showed her ankles.

I love Alfre Woodard and would watch her read the phonebook. In this case, I would prefer the phonebook.

As someone who spent two glorious years in rural central California, driving over to Cambria (perhaps my favourite spot on earth next to Far Northern Queensland) to simply sit in the glorious sunshine on the goldyorange rocky shoreline to watch sea otters swim and play in the shallows and kelp beds, all I can say is
