Rest in peace, Don Luis. You are yet another of the sweeter parts of my childhood that has disappeared. I even forgave you for marrying Maria, who was a huge kiddy crush of mine. 

Luis (and Maria, Bob, Mr. Hooper etc.) were all so real to child me, it was many years later that it finally occurred to me they were actors, playing parts on a TV show.

Rest In Peace, you beautiful soul. Thank you for being such a bright part of my childhood.

I live in a more rural area just north east of Seattle, next to a nice road that people bring their bikes and fast cars on. This week, it has been 70s and sunny and the exhaust noises usually stop around 11pm.
