That's my favorite arc also. I'm hoping it'll come back and back him on his covfefe:)

Cookbooks, the older the better. My mother used to make a tomato ketchup that was soooooooo much better than anything you could buy. I'm pretty sure it was my grandmother's Betty Crocker cookbook that she used. She made the tomato most often but she also made a zucchini and a walnut, which were very good. Mmmmmm, I…
I hate to be "that guy" but the sister wasn't learning-disabled, she just stuttered. I had a colleague who stuttered and he told stories of teachers who didn't want him in their class because they're not special ed., just terrible.
However.….my favorite Charles moment also involves his sister. Colonel Flagg (one of my…
My interpretation of the Laura/Shadow dynamic kinda combined both you and your wife's ideas. I felt that they did love each other but not to the same degree. Shadow put Laura on a pedestal she didn't deserve and since the book was (mostly) told from Shadow's perspective, that's also how we saw Laura. When we finally…
Thanks
There was an interview with Amber Nash right when the season started (sorry, can't find it), and she said this season Pam is gender neutral and just goes by Poovey. Also, Poovey is loosely based on Russell Crowe's character in "L.A. Confidential".
But male, female or something in between, Pam rocks. And can totally…
But which of the Dick's was the hairier one?
There's also a moment when Archer says "Poovey, I'm gonna punch you in your….", he looks Pam up and down, "…..genitals". It's perfect.
It will mark your soul and call it theirs. And when the stars grow right they will reap it. Hail Chtulhu!
Yes! I happened to catch that rerun also, and thought the same thing.
Theodora Goss wrote a very clever short story "The Mad Scientist's Daughter" which references "Pan" (as well as some other stories). It's a fast fun read.
Love Kelly Link. Reading her newest now "Get in Trouble". Very good read.
There's a new audiobook version of "Handmaid's Tale" that has an extra chapter at the end written by Atwood. This has led to rumors of a sequel. So maybe you'll get your wish. If not, she wrote another dystopian novel Oryx and Crake, that's the first book of a pretty good trilogy.
I always preferred King's short stories to his longer works. Somehow putting that kind of length restraint on him, brings out some of his best writing.
I also grew up in the northeast, actually NYC, so I'm a self-proclaimed pizza snob. Nothing is better than a well made pizza and no one makes pizza better than NYC (well, maybe Naples, but that's still on my wish list). Most of my family has moved away and the pizza when I go visit them sucks. Maybe it's like with…
The third one's always been my secret shame. Maybe it's so bad it's good. Parker Posey beating the crap out of Ryan Reynolds is hysterical. And good god it's got vampire DOGS! Weird fucking vampire dogs, a Pomeranian and a couple of black Labs.
My favorite episode of "Comedians"! Which is saying something since every new episode has me going, maybe this is my new fav. But Don was great, RIP you hockey puck
Archer has its ups and downs (all shows do) but it's still funnier than most so I'll keep watching. And if tptb are really riffing on Chinatown, I can't wait to see a "she's my daughter, she's my sister" scene.
The only thing I'm trying to do is stave off sobriety. And I have a feeling that we're going to have to try HARD! Everybody….drink!
Yes I know, BUT, if you don't like the beer, you have to have something to chase IT. Just remember, sobriety is never the answer;)
