“Respectful”

The problem is that there *is* some truth to the sentiment. America is *STILL* a deeply, systemically racist country. Granted, that won’t change by pretending the problem doesn’t exist, either. It’s the art of threading the needle, as it were. Illustrating the issue in a way that ‘passively racist’ masses can

I’m sure a couple items on the list of ‘Divisive Concepts’ will include objective reality and the truth. These are VERY decisive concepts...for Republicans.

Dear FromSoft: take a page from Nintendo. He’s asking for money, he’s profiting off these pages and streams while damaging your product and brand value. Sue his ass until he whimpers in a corner for mercy.

Not that I have any say in it or whatever, but I would say, “Don’t do it.” The surest way to undermine whatever good she might have hoped to accomplish will go out the window if the company goes public. More specifically, consider who the majority of the IPO will be going to — the same people who *have* the majority

On the one hand, the ‘never’ probably could have been in quotes, because it was so obvious who was getting threats. On the other hand, this kind of thing has devolved to the point that it *IS* so obvious that the ‘never’ really didn’t need quotes to be obviously sarcastic.

No kidding. American “justice” at its finest.

So an unidentified armed group burst into someone’s home unannounced in the middle of the night and...what exactly did the cops think would happen next? Armed intruders just broke into their fucking home! And yes, Minnesota allows people to legally use lethal force as a last resort.

...in which the company has to pay gaming companies...

The real problem here is how screwed-up copyright laws gives Nintendo *ANY* say in the matter in the first place.

Yeah, much of the environment assets shown are way too detailed for the PS1 to handle. It had a ‘modest’ throughput of ~12k polygons at 30fps.

Yup. The time to name names and show that you’re not interested in keeping wealthy douchebags happy was years ago. Had Geoff done it, that would have been something truly noteworthy. This is just piling on because it’s safe.

There are a tragic number of black men and women, young or otherwise, who would still be with us, if not for inexcusably bad police actions (the reasons for which are irrelevant), who *SHOULD* still be with us. And the fact that so many people stand in opposition to stopping this insanity just further compounds the

“SHE COULD HAVE A GUN! I’M AFRAID FOR MY LIFE!”

That’s America, working as intended...by a legacy of rich, racist assholes who wrote this country’s laws to serve and protect rich, racist assholes above all else.

This is an inaccurate assessment. The ‘aging population’ isn’t the majority of the country’s industry workforce. And the 1-child law has been repealed long enough for them to start rebuilding that workforce, too. So you’d be right in 20-30 years if they never changed directions. But they did. In a big way, and fast.

Much of that is true. Except for one thing: Russia is spiraling into total collapse. They’re not a major player in anything anymore, and never will be again. The country’s leadership has so thoroughly squandered the nation’s wealth that there’s nothing left to reinvest to build it back up again. It’s a stumble away

The average gamer really isn’t comparable to a competitive one. In the same way that adults who engage in sports for fun on the weekend aren’t generally comparable to professional athletes for those same sports. It’s entirely different level of dedication and engagement.

Not exactly. War, at its extremes, hasn’t changed. It’s still tanks, bombs, aircraft, and people dying, but ‘limited’ warfare has, and that’s most of what happens between major powers these days. If anything, the US’s war in Iraq and Afghanistan are flukes of the changing face of war. Most nations are too

Because Microsoft learned its lesson with GFWL — leave storefronts and library management to a company invested in making that a good experience for customers — the revenue cut is usually worth it.
