The only obstacle to a fully renewable energy grid has *ALWAYS* been members profiting from the status quo. We had the means to start weening ourselves off fossil fuel half a century ago. Propaganda and political stonewalling created by the owners, operators, and profiteers of fossil fuel kept that from happening.

The entire population of North America (600m) and Europe (700m) combined is almost equal to China’s. But that’s dozens of countries across two continents. There’s a reason why so many companies and corporations bend over backwards to appease China’s governmental whims and demands.

It won’t matter.

It’s not selfish — regardless of the reasons — to choose not bring a child into a world strapped into an express elevator to hell. Just the opposite. Choosing to bring a child into that world is the epitome of selfishness.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with private air travel. What’s *WRONG* is continuing to power the industry with jet fuel, and unfortunately, that’s not a problem easily tackled. Jets may end up being one of the last vestiges of fossil-fuel consumption simply because the entire industry already operates so lean.

Well, it’s good as a barometer for how fucked humanity is — somewhere betweenreally fucked’ and ‘completely and utterly fucked.’ In either case, humanity is fucked.

Apple has been monetizing humanity’s basic tribalistic stupidity since, well, almost all along. This is just one more notch on their third of forth belt (the others have been reduced to dust from similar treatment). And Apple has plenty of company in this behavior. An entire American political identity is built around

Frankly, that should be illegal, as it’s a gross violation of government oversight and recording standards. Any ruling where the decisions of all justices can’t be counted and tracked to each specific justice who issued it should be deemed null and void and thrown out.

It’s also somewhat ‘emblematic’ of our world today...

Unfortunately, within the next 50 years, wars are going to be sparking off all over the world. Humanity’s innate violent tribalism behavior in the face of restricted critical resources (water, food) due to biosphere destruction leaves no other possible outcome. Hell, at a time when we need to be coming together to

It’s not so much that they should be locked at a specific figure so much as it should be based on what the *lowest* paid employee or contracted laborer for the company is making. To wit, I would cap salaries at 10x the lowest paid laborer or contractor. That would also include overseas contract labor. Adios, outsourcin

It’s almost as if donations and what politicians can legally legislate or vote on needs some mutual exclusion, like, say, if they take money from a given business or industry or business/industry leader, they shouldn’t be allowed to vote on any matter which would directly impact that business or industry or leader. So

“But all that was in the distant past!” — racists

It should also be noted that plant life’s ability to sequester carbon is also severely hampered by excessive heat...and that’s if the heat doesn’t kill the plants outright. The world’s leadership has us spiraling towards disaster with a smile on their faces. Because...

It will be a “Hearing” full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

If you have to rely on everyone following guidelines to keep everyone safe, then there’s no effective difference between a prop gun and a real gun, since they would require the exact same kinds of safety procedures to keep everyone safe. And as I’m sure we’re both aware, these ‘accidents that didn’t have to happen

Monuments to iconic or socially significant black people: defaced and vandalized repeatedly and often.
Monuments to white people who have done monstrous things: left alone for decades, even centuries.

The toy is based on a TV show from Andy’s reality — this is that TV show.

Honestly, I’m struggling to think of a reason why ‘prop’ guns need to *fire* anything. Recoil and kick can be easily and accurately simulated (lord knows guns are bulky and heavy enough to accommodate the requisite electronics). Mostly I suspect its inertia of an industry resistant to change...even when if it kills

“Everybody” used to use lead in everything, too. That still didn’t make it okay, let alone a *good* thing.
