Hahahahaha.
Hahahahaha.
Right on! I’d imagine they’re going to put a jet on it...
Yep, you see the 22 running from you at m1.5+...
I was referring to the claim about German Typhoons using IRST, specifically (and I wasn’t being very specific, sry bout that).
I know they’re the last Tomcat operator...I was making a joke (or trying to) about their maintenance and air worthiness.
Maybe I’m below the joke because I have a huge pod on and can’t get fast/high enough to see it.
The Typhoons that didn’t have IRSTs used the IRST to great effect, right?
And it has a drag index of over 9000!
What’s the sloppy job there? the 2 tone stuff is intentional, if that’s what you mean...
Nah :)
Wait, you said something about flying and then “Iranian F-14s”?
Nautical miles make more sense for aviation and maritime navigation.
It allows you to do certain things in certain scenarios that you wouldn’t be able to do with other aircraft...Think about taking off and landing from large parking lots, non-LHD/LHA landing ships, maybe roads and some other stuff.
You might get a low-ish RCS...not quite ‘stealth’, though.
STOVL isn’t for combat...its for deployability.
what the fuck kinja.
You’re still going through all the development.
Uhhhhhh, (insert crappy response here).
They’re not.
