Ugh, really? I'm a book reader myself (though I'm careful how I post here on the "newbies" thread), but never in a million years would I imagine Sansa & the Hound together. Doesn't make a lick of sense in any way—logically, logistically, geographically, or character-wise.

No—my position is that these are some of the ex-Brotherhood who have gone rogue, without the leadership of Dondarrion. And while I agree that LSH is merciless, she's not ALSO arbitrary, at least as far as I remember.

Someone elsewhere pointed out that, after Dondarrion died, some of the brotherhood followed LS & some just became bandits. This bunch would seem the bandit faction.

Oh no—but I have to admit I haven't watched Rocky IV since it was released in theaters.

OK, it gets better. But the beginning is painful.

Jesus, what the hell is that score? Even by '80s synth standards, that is TERRIBLE.

Why would she have them kill off a village of unaffiliated innocents? They're not Freys or Lannisters.

And I enjoyed the saucy double entendre!

The show left room for The Hound to survive. It really did NOT leave room for Stannis to do so.

They have set us up to expect a badder-ass version of Sansa before, & it didn't play out that way (at ALL). This season started by suggesting we'd see more interesting Sansa, so I expected more from her in this episode than we got. If the show isn't gonna give us the bad-ass Sansa they keep hinting at, I wish

Well, you're definitely in the minority re fan reaction to The Hound. He's certainly not likeable, but as played by Rory McCann, there's a lot to like about the character. (McCann's Hound is a big improvement on Book Hound, much as Show Margaery is way more interesting than Book Margaery.)

Here's a thought: Maybe she HAD to let herself get attacked? If the FM thought she was dead, she could move about more freely, ideally to kill the Waif before she leaves Braavos.

The intro shot for Bear Island was especially striking, I thought.

Oh, that woulda been sweet. Still could happen, right?

Wait—what? I totally missed that! Gotta go back & have another look….

As long as she kills the fuck out of the Waif first.

Patience, my young Hobbit friend. Patience.

Certainly in Braavos that would make sense. What otherwise innocent bystander would risk meddling in Faceless Men business?

Yeah, it was so easy for the Waif to get at her, I seriously expected we'd see Arya wake up from a dream, back in her dark room where we left her last week.

I dunno—the world is full of all kinds of people.
