I wonder—seems likely, now that you mention it. But why do that to save one guy when having that one guy close could save a lot more innocents?

Even better—it wasn't sweet talk. He leveled with her, treated her with respect. He had good practice with Princess Shireen, knowing he could talk to Lyanna Mormont like a grown-up. His compliment to her fierceness at the end didn't come off as flattery—you could tell he really meant it.
Hard to pick just one favorite line from the Queen of Thorns from this episode. Great writing, & of course Dame Diana just KILLS it.
Book Margaery maybe, but Show Margaery is a lot more on the ball (definitely an improvement over the books, IMO). The only open question for me now is this: Is Tommen in on it? I could see her just totally steering him for her own ends, without him even really getting it. Withholding sex, even, is a pretty savvy…
Pisses me off, because the Brotherhood, under Beric Dondarrion, would NOT slaughter innocents. They really were protecting the people, against the depredations of the Lannisters (under The Mountain's efforts). We can assume from this development that Dondarrion really is dead now, & presumably Thoros of Myr has gone…
It's a bit that, but also notice that she was flinching away from them—she couldn't be sure that somewhere in those crowds there's not more Faceless Men looking to off her. I'm assuming (well, hoping) that she makes it back to that acting troupe, & that she'll find help there. I'm also looking forward to (well,…
Yara & Theon made off with a whole bunch of ships, & a bunch of fellow Iron Islanders to man them. Maybe not a thousand, but it's a start
Or, to produce the other two dragons & call them her three bloodriders.
Hey, I hear the Iron Islanders have a fleet….
Something tells me were reintroduced to the Freys just to remind us how unpleasant they are before they all get killed. Well, here's hoping, anyway.
Wondering if the show runners got that plot bit from GRRM, or if they're veering from the books. Now that we're past A Dance With Dragons, who knows?
I'm confident Margaery is just playing along. But give the High Sparrow credit—he knows how to play the crowd.
Given the degree to which his father continues to underestimate him, I doubt it would have occurred to him that Sam would have the balls to take Heartsbane. And of course, Sam is one of the few people who knows that Valyrian steel can kill White Walkers, so it's much better in his hands that sitting uselessly above…
I don't doubt the Blackfish thing. Sansa withheld the info from Jon because she doesn't want anything further to do with Littlefinger. If Sansa lets the Jon know that Baelish offered her the Knights of the Vale, he would likely pressure her to call in that favor (as she probably should, strategically). Plus,…
Nah—they've taken too many pains to emphasize that Dany is NOT like The Mad King.
My guess is they partner up—she's the "fire" & he's the "ice" in The Song of Ice and Fire. (I don't mean a romantic partnership, though that's at least on the table in this world.)
The showrunners confirmed the spiral pattern of the standing stones is connected to the spiral pattern of dead horse parts we saw a couple seasons ago. (And also reminded us that we saw the dead-body-parts-arranged-in-a-pattern thing back in the series' very first scene.)
Not relevant, maybe, but this thought occurred to me: How commonplace it has become for the wife in movies to be significantly younger than the husband. In this ersatz Poltergeist, Kevin Bacon is 15 years older than Radha Mitchell. Go back to the original Poltergeist, & we have the more realistic 4-year age…
Unbelievable—and I even re-read before posting. I hang my head in shame, & will leave that lazy typo there for all to see.
Why is the second question in each example phrased "How did they die?" Each of these is one person—"they" is plural. So, when I'm reading about Olly, it's distracting to get the question "How did they die?"—who are "they" in this context? Is it so difficult to edit these to make sure the question says "How did he…
