Solid theory—I'm for it!
Solid theory—I'm for it!
I assume the show will do some table setting to make sure it matters when it happens.
I just meant story-wise, not so much that anybody who's paying attention will be surprised by it.
I thought that was Lyanna crying out—whether in labor or dying, I don't know (both, presumably). Honestly, guys, I'm not even sure we'll get the R+L=J reveal this season—it's pretty much THE reveal for the whole series, so I'm thinking maybe season 7. Though it would make a great season 6 final scene/cliffhanger.
Pre-season-six trailer showed a dragon (maybe even two) flying over a bunch of Dothraki. My guess is, now that Tyrion has freed them, Dany's dragons will rescue her, & lay a hurtin' on those Dothraki assholes into the bargain. Previews for next week suggest that Ser Jorah & Daario Nahaeris will help her escape.
Scenes from the trailer before season 6 started showed Bolton banner men facing wildlings on a snowy battlefield. Remember, Melisandre had a vision of herself walking the battlements at Winterfell, & a great victory in the snow. In a perfect world, Jon would meet up with Sansa & Brienne, Brienne would kick ass in…
I thought I caught a glimpse of a pommel with a sunburst design on it. But it would have been cooler if they'd made a bigger deal about it. Maybe we'll see it when the show takes us back to the Tower of Joy, though that's SUCH a big reveal, it probably won't even happen this season.
That's just how the thought formed in my head—I noticed the possibilities before I posted it, but then thought, "Eh." Glad you enjoyed it!
My take is that his soul was resting in Ghost (or maybe part of his soul), so both Ghost & Jon still have a soul of their own—it's just that Jon can slip into Ghost & go for a ride if he wants.
This seems likely, IMO. Melisandre's vision of a great battle in the snow & her walking Winterfell's walls, can still be a true vision—only it'll be Jon (& the wildlings), not Stannis, that gets her there.
Thanks for validating my almost certainly hare-brained theory!
There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive.
Plus, like Joffrey, he's apparently a lovely guy in real life. (You'd almost have to be, to play such an irredeemable prick.)
Also, novercicide!
(Not a real word, probably, but noverca is Latin for "step-mother", so….)
THE LAW IS CLEAR!
It almost would have been more in character for her to have hopped up on that table & fucked the life back into him. But her faith, & her confidence, were pretty badly shaken.
Really? Sansa, hands down.
Well, resurrected Jon is probably not quite the same Jon. So here's hoping!
I'm watching on my laptop with earbuds in. I was tempted to mute that part, & probably should have. *shudders*
My favorite was, "That's what I do—I drink, & I know things."
