It's all good, as the kids say. Of course, calling myself Clueless Neophyte, I'm kinda askin' for it….

I see what you did there.
I'm just saying what HE said—apparently he thinks that elsewhere he's successfully employed various British accents rather than his own. As a Northman yourself, you have a better ear for it than I do, to be sure, but your issue is with him, not me, good ser.
Sean Bean doesn't think so. I saw an interview with him where he talked about how nice it was that as Ned Stark he could finally use his natural accent for a change.
From wikipedia:
"Leslie was born in Aberdeen, and grew up in Lickleyhead Castle, her family's 15th century ancestral seat."
I love her even more now, because that is AWESOME.
Is she the one who killed herself on Rome?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I read, or maybe saw somewhere, that GoT was the first thing Sean Bean ever did where he could use his natural Yorkshire accent. Too bad he didn't get to use it for very long.
I added this elsewhere on here, but if you doubt her wit, listen to her on the Nerdist podcast from this past September 2nd. She was awesome & hilarious.
Neko Case was fantastic on the Nerdist podcast back in September. If you missed it you really should go back & have a listen. She's sharp, quick, & damn funny.
Somehow, I could never really get into Son Volt, but maybe that's because I came to Wilco first. Definitely worth going back & checking out Uncle Tupelo if you're a Wilco fan. And reading thus makes me think I should be giving Son Volt another shot….
Sub Volt: Random typo or pointed commentary?
I agree that this particular rhetorical question has a ridiculously obvious answer, but I enjoyed reading Zaleski's take on WHY it holds up.
I'm with you, @cowtools:disqus — I like & appreciate their other records, but find myself coming back to Anodyne by far the most. That said, as @avclub-6f31db0cab7c10ab173107e1f53376b8:disqus observes, No Depression probably earns the title "supreme alt-country album of all time".
Oh, come on now! He was good in…
I think you mean "$400 at a POP-POP!".
I'm not convinced he's sincerely converted. Quite a lot of professional rightie talkers really slather on, & a few are known in the business to be doing an act. Maybe Miller always had it in him, but I suspect he just knows which side his bread's buttered on—there's just not nearly as much money in lefty punditry.
Is that Kathleen Madigan in the opening bit?
No it doesn't!
People called Romanes they go the 'ouse?
