I’ve never batted my eye at a rat. They’re probably as dirty as a subway seat.

If you want to buy the absolute cheapest oil you can, then you’re still saving money over the cheapest oil change there is. But you can buy a higher quality oil if you’re going to DIY and probably still save money or come out even, meaning that you’ve come out ahead in the matter overall.

That depends. You’re correct that the cost is cheaper (especially counting the value of your time) but if you are comfortable doing far more than oil changes it’s something you typically do while doing other maintenance. I typically check suspension parts for wear, look for other leaks, rotate tires, replace air

I thought she was supposed to be his mom at first and was really confused.

I love Abrams, and I can appreciate her political ambition, but I want someone with more experience as VP because Biden ain’t making it through the first term (and certainly not into a second term).

Fair point. I’m now interesting to see if a 2040 Radwood exists and features one these badboys.

I found hitting the comment bubble near the headline loads the comments

I just did an M508 in my 91 535i. I had to tint the display to match the rest of the dash lights, but it looks almost factory now.

One thing I can say is that while my welds were not pretty, they were definitely strong enough to cut muster. But then I would go out to my Cannondale and admire the gorgeous hand-welded butted joints on the frame (back when Cannondales were hand-made in the USA).

Brownell would have been trying to find a way to cover for the people who are screwing up, much like his other article blaming the cops for people who run during police pursuits.

I refreshed the page to get the comment section to load just to tell you I really appreciate these true Jalopnik stories. Thanks for reporting on the difficult stuff!

The difference is that YOU stop when the police attempt to pull you over because YOU are not a violent criminal with something to hide. A driver who doesn’t pull over almost certainly has something to hide. Not many people run from police for the thrill of it. A person who runs probably has a warrant out for their

Considering the number of people killed by drunk drivers every year, versus the number of people killed by drunk drivers being chased by police every year, your math is off. By a lot.

Yeah, trying to pull over drunk people is WAAAAY too dangerous.

The point is that if it’s known to criminals that ALL they have to do is run and the cops won’t chase them...guess what?!!! They will commit crime after crime after crime, then jump in their cars, and get a free escape pass.

“Those who had committed a crime or were suspected of committing a crime, were precluded from their right to a fair trial, and their lives ended prematurely.”

DPS says Nguyen faces charges for unlawful flight from law enforcement, DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal damage. Additional charges may also come from Gilbert police.

Damn thieves need to stop stealing my crap, while we’re at it.

Can’t we all imagine a world where anytime any person or family is killed by some asshole running a red light, it was at least an actual accident, and not a result of a deliberate decision by those tasked with protecting and serving people to put the lives of those people at risk?

Noticing a patterns of slideshows on these sites now. Not a fan of it. Feels like a G/O Media thing and it just feels like a sign of things to come. Unfortunate. Thanks for writing this though. I’m assuming it wasn’t your decision to make this a slideshow post.
