Sorry, the Josh/Elsbeth finger bit was one of the funniest scenes of any show this week.

The youth is showing again lol Walsh had multiple extended runs on The Drew Carey Show and guest stints on other sitcoms for years before "Shondaland" and instead her comedy chops are referenced using two little-seen recent bits.
Interesting comparison to the Review piece from this morning. Both are predominantly critical but differing in character versus tone complaints. For myself it had its moments, but both it and Manhattan Love Story just didn't land enough jokes.
Judd Hirsch rules!
I came here to lambast The AV Club for its announcement that The Big Bang Theory would no longer receive weekly coverage. There are many reasons why it should be covered and the reasons it won't be are entirely tied to the sorry state of The AV Club's culture. But after reading this sorry excuse for an article I'm not…
I thought I'd be quick with a "certainly deserved a lower score" snark but the full write-up makes its case. I never look forward to this one on my re-watches (and if you notice a similar flatness can be found in all Tina Fey sole-credit episodes) but I still include it because watching Tracy's descent over the years…
Thanks for the write-up though I think too much time is spent on the failures or miscalculations rather than what was done right. At the end of the day Enterprise has many faults, but Season 4 is the best single season in all of Star Trek. Not every episode knocks it out of the park but it is confident, thrilling, and…
I was all set to type "I wish I knew more about how the AV Club determines what engagement is in making their decisions" when I realized I didn't want to know because all I could imagine was irritation at the formula.
Just reading your excellent write-up and thinking about these awesome episodes has me tearing up. Yes I cry like a little girl every time but it was such a magnificent capper to one of the greatest television plots I've ever seen.
I was really happy with the episode. Expanding the world was great, fun callbacks to the game in terms of sets costumes and characters, plus the episode just moved better.
Thanks for the usual great write-up. My main takeaway was how much could be discussed given my own past face-value enjoyment of both episodes, and that I found much more usual Farscape humor in Eat Me.
Awesome episode. The guest stars, new and returning, were perfect. The fact that they can get some to show up just to be killed off is even more impressive.
Hilarious episode. The "peed yourself" callback and then topper had me rolling on the floor.
Awesome episode and great write-up hope the non-watchers who read take your advice!
As always find someone who likes the show for what it is to do the write-ups hearing the same complaints about the show the writer would rather watch is as tiresome as what he accuses the show of recycling.
Thanks for the article. It really put the problem with The AV Club into perspective. The ignorance of past comedies must be why such spectacularly unfunny garbage as Parks & Rec and How I Met Your Mother get so much love. Veep the funniest show on TV? That show is a laugh-free disaster. Single episodes of WKRP or…
Couldn't agree more though I was unhappy with coverage from word one. I guess the stable of AV Club writers is just too small and they all share the same tastes, usually unfunny comedies and shows about assholes. Anything outside those traits gets begrudging write-ups with the occasional exception.
I thought it was decent. Given the article on sitcom pilots sucking here on this site I thought they pulled off a decent number of laughs for a show where we weren't yet vested in any of the characters. Many of the tired tropes of the family sitcom may be here, the general intent of many of the jokes may not be…
Something may be wrong with you seeing romance in the last bit of the action montage lol
Great to have the show back! Last year's finale setup of the new arrangement of Eli at the office couldn't do justice to the payoff no matter how amused I was of the notion at the time. Watching Eli glance over at Alicia's office, slightly off-frame and pulled back, really made me laugh. Of course Cummings continues…
