Even if it hits 50MPG it’s in the same situation hybrid’s are currently in which is that regular ass cars (Civic 1.5T et al) are already doing 41-42 on the highway which makes it tough to financially justify an optional engine. In my area diesel is down to a nickel or so over regular gas which works out to ~$10/mo

Bingo. Without a 6.0 at minimum this is just a clean imposter. For 18K I’d expect a Heads/Cam 6.0 or a clean supercharger setup on the stock mill.

The disparity is due to several things. You have a higher ride height than the 2WD trucks, more rolling resistance with a ~250lbs heavier truck (especially with All Terrain tires instead of All Seasons) and the rotational mass of the extra drivetrain components.

Assuming he’s got a RWD truck then it’s rated at 23. You could draw the conclusion that the Ford would suffer a similar gap from the sticker which would but the deficit in half. <10% at that point which to be clear is a big gap, but perhaps not up to what perception would dictate.

Why wouldn’t Ford just give it a bedliner/polymer bed floor in the first place? To extract more cash from you, that’s why. They spent a shitload of cash to make it lighter and whatnot with the aluminum, shell out a bit more and make the bed tougher as standard.

Take part retail and divide by 7 and you should be close to what they are paying for the part per completed unit.

One thing I’ve learned by speaking to friends in the industry is that once you drill a well and tap it your marginal costs for each extra barrel are very very low, which is probably the $2.25 you referenced. However, developing that new resource is big money. So at the moment there are a bunch of resources out there

Yeah but the tracker didn’t come with shitty eco-saver all seasons like this will...

This can’t tow 8000lbs.

None of those numbers matter once you put shitty eco-saver all seasons on it.

I think the key here is actually that stock HD trucks aren’t good off road. That truck is like $1500 worth of tires and $1000 worth of level/lift away from walking up that without drama. Sure it sucks stock but there aren't many vehicles on the market today not named Wrangler or Tacoma that go up that without some

So Sean got this written up and posted on Cycle World’s site around 11am and you guys get it nicely repackaged and posted before 2:30. Real cool.

So a Ford Ridgeline?

Where do you rent a bed cap?

Y’all are acting like the automakers were out of their mind not to listen to a COMPETITOR who was losing business to Takata.

Actually it’s called “I found a gun in the back seat where three people are sitting and nobody is a narc so I’m charging you all and it will stay that way until the DA’s office figures out who’s gun it is”. That last part be easy once they print the gun or somebody breaks and points the finger. It’s hard to pin down a

It’s one thing to smell it on someone, it’s a whole ‘nother ballgame to prove that they are high right then. If the driver could pass a field sobriety then likely all they can get them on is possession.

So you’ve never smelled a person or place and been like ‘damn somebody just smoked out’? It’s not hard to detect 5 dudes worth of just got high coming from the window of a focus. The dog is just to dot the i and cross the t. Plus it’s not like he said he smelled weed and didn’t find any, cause he did...

Nice. You in Minnesota, Ohio, or Georgia?

Incorrect. There are two parts to the EPA ruling. 1. That HD sold 12,000 bikes that were not certified. 2. Harley sold, at the dealer counter, parts which were a defeat device without any discrimination for whether those parts would be used for their intended purpose (non road use). This is what you get when make a
