IQS is a meaningless metric due to the number of false “problems” that get lumped into scores. For example, if a customer that complains that they don’t understand how to use the Navi, regardless of their skill level, it gets rolled into the IQS score as a “problem”.

Correct. IQS “problems” can include people not understanding how the Navi works, even if it’s not actually broken.

I agree with the bed height, especially related to bedsides. I don’t necessarily agree with the payload capacity though. Those numbers have remained virtually constant since increasing them would be a trade off for other aspects of the truck. Also there are 3/4 ton trucks available if you need more payload.

It’s not that far off in the scheme of auto development. They probably need to start working on succession planning of models (what happens as EVs steal IC market share) and long term manufacturing strategy (how do you make them while simultaneously making fewer IC vehicles). I’d guess they have ongoing powertrain…

I doubt they straight up failed QC, but it’s possible they are substituting steel grades (somewhat unlikely as the steels used for these doesn’t vary dramatically in cost and it’s probably more expensive to spend the time changing it out) or skimping on coating thicknesses and rubber quality.
