A bit of good news, I’m glad one branch of the federal govt is still doing it’s job.

I’m sure he’s willing to do it if the dems and reality-based Americans don’t want it.

They don’t have to figleaf anything anymore, it’s a straight-out power grab, and the end result is, if it’s a good thing to the majority of Americans (they’re not the majority, they just act like they are), then they’ll push the opposite.

Translation: the oil companies line our pockets and own us and we don’t care if the world burns and you drink poison water.

If they really wanted to do the right thing -- haha, what am I saying? -- they’d transition to wind and solar, but noooooooo, it’s so much better to fuck over people and ruin the world.

I know a bunch of them too — I’m scared of all of them, actually. One of these days they’ll probably round me up for extermination. MA counties all went for Clinton, but there are a LOT of stupid assholes who are in the evil cult of Cheetolini.

Brady wants to go into politics after he retires from football. He’s a republican and he’s not smart enough to deflect with a nuanced answer about the clusterfuckery that the republicans have become while they undo democracy as we know it. Who could have known that undermining the Democratic party constantly since

I don’t have a lot of confidence in elected dems, a lot of them are greedy corporate toadies. That said, even the most corrupt & awful dem — Manchin maybe? — is better than the best repub (????? I cannot think of anyone worthy of that title). There are some good ones tho — Sherrod Brown, Al Franken, Jeff Merkley,

Right now we have a bunch of people in this country who have been fed a steady diet of hatred and lies for many years (thanks a lot Fox Propaganda et alia). Their resentment at having a black man as president is still a fresh and raw wound. But now they have a beacon of light leading the way, in the form of that

I just posted that quote on my (brand-new, I have no idea what I’m doing) twitter acct. After the way the press mentioned Wright all the damn time, this quote should be forever linked with Bannon and with Trump. It’s outrageous. Hey, Jezebel people, can you give it some noise?

General strikes maybe? Repubs care more about money than people, so I don’t think any of them will lift a finger to stop dicktator cheetolini until the economy craters.

that’s the part that scares me the most -- all the federal power right now is concentrated in the hands of people who don’t seem to believe in democracy. I can remember the Nixon stuff and the Reagan stuff and there were still some decent repubs that were willing to do the right thing. Now, they’re salivating over

2 things spring to mind here : 1) cheetolini thinks that the USA is a business now and he’s in charge of everything, his very whims and words are law in his delusional mind; he has never shown the least awareness that actually the American people — only 27% of whom voted for him — are his boss; 2) Steve Bannon has

:-) They’re sincere puns, I promise.

oh wow, that’s brilliant. The engineer in me feels the pull and I’m not sure I can resist that...

Worse still, this EO does nothing to make the country safer.

As others have pointed out, this ban would not have stopped 9/11. This ban also will not stop future terrorist attacks. What it will do is give Muslim extremists a great recruiting tool : look how much they hate us! etc

Thanks, I did sign up via web browser -- Opera in my case. It seems that their rules preclude twitter usage without a “valid” phone number. Surely I can’t be the only one with this issue? Oh well ...

Thank you. :-) I’ve realized, these past couple of months, that one reason people seemed to do nothing in fascist countries in the 1930s was because it’s downright embarrassing to come right out and say that you think your country has gone off the rails — and even more so when you get shot down or told you’re

I read them through twice during my research phase, I have a ton of notes about them. The speeches are pretty amazing too -- and by amazing I mean horrifying documents holding views no person should ever hold. They are definitely worth reading -- even before the USA took its disastrous downturn -- but most ppl find
