LBJ's Great Society changed the nation more than any other set of programs besides the New Deal, and you could make the argument that it equalled or surpassed the New Deal in regards to how much it altered the landscape of what the government actually does for citizens.

Country Life is great. It also has "Out of the Blue" which is basically a series of solos by each person in the band. Just phenomenal.

Great explanation! Bounced light seems to be key, doesn't it? Something in the artificial illumination always feels off.

Wasn't that guy called The Pigman? And it definitely involved the Punisher. This was back when Frank Miller was sane AND talented.

I don't think Frank is actually a John Galt acolyte. The ending reminded me of the Fountainhead (disclaimer: I was 17!), in that, when things don't go exactly right for the protagonist, he would rather destroy his creations and everything he was involved with rather than compromise. Nothing in Goslings Cipher characters past could have been anywhere as cool as Caan's Ayn Rand like Anti-hero ("It's my way, or I'll blow up everything I've ever touched").

That movie is great as both an action movie, and as an action movie that subverts almost every 80s action movie genre convention.

Phenomenal. Glad that Friedkin is still making brutal pictures. And what a charmer!
