I was actually just thinking I need to use this as a basis for my sous vide egg bite recipe. So that’s one way, if you have a sous vide, and a bunch of little jars.

“Does that make sense?” is a way to check in with your listener. Confident communication need not be unidirectional communication.

It’s not a fair comparison, as Asian/Indian immigrants are frequently wealthy or privileged before they get her. The ones in my town are all professors or in pharma or finance. Their kids go to the same schools as the rich white kids, so they get the same white-forward education (only more so, because they aren’t lazy

My 7th grader last year encountered this question (not SAT but similar state-mandated test):

On the other hand, that wasn’t even her best work last year.

I watched it. It was empty but fun. McGregor did fine, but there wasn’t much to work with, so it was not an award-winning performance. IMO.

I’d go one further and say that The Crown, though an enjoyable show, did not really deserve any Emmys. If you try to think about its attributes that are really better than anything else on television, it doesn’t stand out. It doesn’t have a ton of heart, nor a ton of intellect, there’s nothing particularly unexpected

That’s not really the point though. You may not _like_ vegetables, but there really isn’t an excuse for being hungry. You can eat indefinitely if you’re eating vegetables.

You and me buddy. Chronic illness is hell. And I just can’t imagine what my self-image would be if I bailed at this point.

My misunderstanding, sorry.

Seriously. Lots of “it would never happen to me!” here. And no acknowledgment that pre-kids domestic labor is a drop in the bucket compared to what happens after kids. He may be doing exactly what he did before kids, but it’s like a dribble compared to the onslaught of drudgery afteward.

Lots of men put on their best selves prior to marriage and then expect to be taken care of afterward (and would never suggest that this was their plan, because I don’t think most of them even think this way about it).

That is totally fair.

  • You don’t need to wash the outer pot (the only handwashing part) that often. I wipe down the lid, but otherwise, it’s probably every 10 uses that I wash the outside. The inner pot can go in the dishwasher.

For an absolutely normal (not runny, not hard/dry) Instant Pot hardboiled egg (basically what you’re talking about, I think), it’s 6 minutes at pressure, and then immediate water bath.

That’s spot on.

The one thing a commercial diet taught me a few years ago was to not bother counting vegetables in my calorie/nutrition count, except as a function of getting enough of them. The idea was to count everything else, and then eat as many veg as you want. That’s treated me pretty well, since an infinite amount of

She was also great in Heavenly Creatures, with a pre-fame Kate Winslet.

I unabashedly love my duo egg sandwich maker (as in the OP, but makes two rather than one).

Right? I was about to say, generations of Asian college students have made whole meals out of their rice cooker. Many of the modern ones (even the $20 models) have a steaming plate you put on the top, which steams other food while your rice cooks. Even with a full kitchen, I still use it.
