I used to really enjoy this show.. a bit cliche and silly in the same way that Carrie Diaries was, but also charming and with so many great character actors being their best selves.

Districts are rarely forthcoming about what they knew beforehand. In order to get the HR records, they likely need to sue, to even find out if the district was protecting the teacher while knowing about the problems.

I 100 percent already do this. I got prepper amounts of freeze-dried fruit to make DIY oatmeal packets, and now I find I use it for a lot of surprising applications.
