Yep. Do the same with my resume (using my gender-neutral middle rather than initials). It doesn’t help once they meet me, but at least they have to have a conversation with me, and that seems to make me into a real person rather than an ignorable woman.

It’s possible depending on their polling strategy. Lots of quality polls use land lines to reach people. I don’t know anyone my age or younger who still has a land line (and I’m Gen X, so almost AARP age).
