Actually PS2 had a pretty bad track record for faulty hardware but no one gave a shit cus of all the awesome games and the inexpensiveness of replacing the console.

Too be fair not many people were buying PS3's either.

YAH BASTARD! You made me plug in one of the dead consoles of last gen. /sarcasm

Seriously though if anything what I'm mad about *tentatively* 'this' gen's consoles... they broke the 4-6 year cycle, not even for good reasons either.

I've done it before but I literally just took out my 360 and hooked it up to make sure... and YEP what do you know still no light code.

The issue is why wouldn't it be completely even?
If you knew much about Hard Drives you'd probably say otherwise too: "Just to get an idea of the precision and speed involved, picture a Boeing 747 flying at 600 miles per hour-six inches off the ground!"

Issue wasn't the fans but the heatsink, also there were TONS of people who thought that wrapping the 360 in a towel made the RROD better... I'm not saying it wasn't an issue but PS2 had tons of units recalled too but no one ever gives them flak for that.

Thing is they're not giving you new 360's they're giving you back the same one with a fix so essentially you're getting a defective one back that was repaired... Its why the RROD failure rate number is so much higher than it actually is.

Btw you should probably upgrade that CPU in the next gen of intel's chip when they

Actually I know for a fact that's not true because I literally have to pull my disc tray open to pop discs in and out after pressing the button. Although I haven't played in a long while.

Not to mention we can play games from before even sixth gen if we want to we're not limited to some terrible starter crop... they're always pretty bad though so its to be expected.

Characters have life yes, the levels not so much they feel static and plain.

Well people will want or need to upgrade the HDD for it OR the ever popular slim model that actually improves the hardware and whatnot. Don't forget the 10 renditions of the PS3 with varying backwards compatibility.

The whole thing was though that it was from excessive heating. I realize overheating has a different ring code but RROD is directly linked to heating issues.

I don't understand why the shiny charm had to be removed and make it harder for normal people to get shinies again.

RROD isn't just a manufacturing error its overheating on your part as well all the same though haven't you sent one in, I'm fairly certain they gave free replacements for them.

Also you'd be better off just going PC and if you give me the 'you don't want to upgrade it' spiel, you'll be in for a surprise with the PS4

I think he means more along the lines of not keeping or selling the console but ok.

I'm assuming the people who are commenting about the graphics being amazing and what not haven't played PC games in recent years. They stylized look is an aesthetic choice but graphics are different, I've actually done animation and 3D modelling I have an eye for this stuff. I really don't think they won't reuse caves

It's the same watered down art style of the last game and unless you're blinded by something you should be able to tell what the graphics are there. Also its a video of gameplay.

I think they designed them the wrong way and then said fuck it.

Graphics look meh, I'm worried about the story based on what they did with Dragon Age 2, "bigger than all of dragon age 2"... yes bigger than a small game how bout some better detail here?

Other than that the game play concept looked solid. Not gunna get my hopes up after being let down 2 (and a half) times by them (in

Realistically speaking they're probably already doing R&D tests on a larger one and a smaller one.
