I’m really surprised there is no love for Macross Plus in this list. The flight sequences in that series are just stunning and the soundtrack is killer.

I am pretty sure I also had Covid 19 before the vaccines and treatments were available and it pushed my CKD stage 3 kidneys into a rapidly spiraling stage 4/ESRD. It’s nuts with how many people won’t take the vaccine given how bad Covid fucks you up. 

I would also recommend watching Zero One when it is released by Shout Factory next year. It’s the first series in the Reiwa era and it was really well done with a banger of an opening song.

That is most likely the thought process. They’re thinking since it is an IoT device that terrorists or the Russians or the Chinese will hack it and start murdering government leaders through their over-priced exercise equipment.

The Trails of Cold Steel series is very “Shonen anime: the game.” It’s a fairly typical JRPG and the decisions don’t ultimately matter, but the plot is pretty damned good, especially by the end of 4. It’s a lot of time to commit to but it pays off in the end, imnsho.

It’s amazing how good steak tastes with just salt and pepper as well. If you have quality meat, it doesn’t take much to make it taste divine.

Have you played any of Falcom’s RPGs? Most of the music is excellent. The stuff they did in the Trails of series is phenomenal. The Falcom Sound Team are upper-echelon composers.

Fox just makes everything worse. The Twins had the fan cut-outs for the home opener and it looks 1000x better than this PS2 era bullshit.

Obligatory shilling for Yoko Kanno’s work on Macross Plus, Escaflowne (my personal favorite), and Ghost in the Shell: SAC. The woman is a genius.

I will second Kamen Rider W. It was my gateway drug into the franchise and I haven’t missed a season since. I would also recommend Kamen Rider OOO for the awesome theme and weird obsession with birthdays.

I imagine it will end up on Tubi TV again as well. I managed to make it through the first episode before it was removed last week.
