Still not understanding that the device you print from won’t matter as long as you have the printer added to the account that you are signed into on said device (and both the printer and device are online). Blaming it on my incomprehension and your Chromebook is not the solution.

It’s really not that hard, and it clearly states “plugging it in directly” doesn’t function. Best way I’ve found is to sign in with chrome on a PC that has the printer directly connected (even if it’s just temporary for this setup) then add printer to account. Now as long as the printer is online you can print from
