I prefer to just clean the sandbag and throw it straight up in the air, slightly behind my head, then turn around a repeat. This seems a more relevant movement pattern than a straight forward throw or slightly arced throw.

I think the sandbag is essential to keep you from chasing a rolling medicine ball down the street. But if you’re down for extra cardio I don’t see why not!

We bailed on Kindergarten for our son and found a family who has a nanny who is graduating with a degree in education this year. That family also has a kindergarten-age kid. So the nanny will be doing a homeschool curriculum with both of them (and maybe 1-2 other kids) 3 days a week for 3 hours a day.

As the nurse was leading me out of the room where the procedure was done, up to the front office, I was walking with kind of a weird gait since I obviously felt some tenderness down there. She looked me straight in the eye and deadass goes “You know, you can walk normal.”

7% away from a marriage proposal, darn! :-)

It’s total lifetime earnings up until now. You’re not discounting future earnings that haven’t occured yet.

I think it’s kind of built in to the equation more or less. Older people have a higher denominator (higher lifetime earnings), younger people a lower one.

these are things we cannot control

I’m not so sure the comparison should be “Lifetime Wealth Ratio between a wage earner and someone who inherited their money”. In any measure of any type, the person who inherits is always going to come out ahead. Turns out it’s a sweet gig to just be handed a pile of cash/property.

I fix the “difference in cook time” problem by lovingly spooning hot butter/oil over the inner white constantly to cook it from the top side as well. I think this is a Gordon Ramsay thing? Anyways, I want ALL THE PROTEINZ so this method works for me.

I agree that ego is one personality trait that is driving 95% of this madness right now (Trump literally cannot compliment someone or something without inserting himself in the story).

The executive order itself is legal, but largely toothless since he only has the power to defer collection unless Congress does antyhing.

I was going to comment that I would end up just going back to the freezer two more times to refill my mug (my usual portion size)...

Thank you!

FYI the screen record feature isn’t available on iPhone 8 and below.

We are seeing local Nextdoor and Facebook posts trying to organize class “pods” for kids doing the hybrid option to go somewhere during their virtual days. My wife noted that most of them are saying “don’t mind if your kids don’t go to the same school, we can work with the varying cirriculums.”

My employer doesn’t allow any rollover which is part of the problem (they don’t have to per the law, the $500 is optional). No room for error...I spend every December buying band-aids and other nonsense to clear out the account.

First they came for my alliums...and I said nothing.

I mix museli with shredded wheat. My wife and I call it “colon blow” (after the old SNL commercial). But with the dried fruit in the museli it’s still sweet enough.

I have an HSA from a previous job that I was able to save up over $15K in and I haven’t touched it since. I can’t contribute more because I don’t have an HDHP currently, but I’m glad there’s something in there and it’s invested in a wide range of things.
