Yeah, seriously. The buildings, the neighborhoods, the freeways, the hillsides... it is all very LA.

Well, it's stale in that is has an overwhelming feeling of 'been there, done that.' It even reuses the same 8 worlds from NSMB (grass, desert, ice, water, forest, mountain, cloud, fire).
Case in point: New SMB Wii. Stale and old, but still fun as hell.
Why the hate for Wario Land? That was a fun game - especially if you went for 100% completion.
Way to ignore reality.
There are only 30 teams in the NBA, not 32.
How are they 'bleeding cash' if they are still turning a profit?
I wonder this whenever I see somebody mad at a review. If you already had your mind made-up about the game, why did you read the review at all? Isn't it a huge waste of time? For that matter, why does somebody having a different opinion than you make you mad? Are you really that immature?
I like the idea of a straight-up yes/no, but as you say, the people giving the decision need to have played the game a decent bit before giving their opinion.
Really? Must be hidden text, 'cause I couldn't find that quote anywhere.
And don't forget games that have DLC. If the game doesn't support saves on its card, it won't support putting DLC there either.
Well, getting it in December would mean importing it from Japan, and said imports always add a pretty sizable markup.
Some games support it, some don't.
If all you want to do is save games, you should be golden.
Rolos have a much softer caramel. They're nowhere near as chewy.
@boobox: It depends on the game. Some run at 30fps, some at 60.
Uh, Doom would like to have a word with you about not being a 'great game'. Sure the story was very simplistic, but the game was an absolute blast to play, with some of the best FPS level design ever.
It doesn't even look like it's Lightning. If the article didn't say who that was supposed to be I would have never made the connection.
I think its partly worse. But I think part of it, for me anyway, is growing up. I know I've gotten to a point where I tend to view these depictions as juvenile and in bad taste. I suspect the same is true for you.
Is there still much of a market for WoW-tuned peripherals?
