I’ve been lurking (I’ve made a comment or two, though) around here for it seems like 10 years and I’m happy to have seen the site evolve through all of it’s iterations. I despised the SEO based UI decisions but using a rss reader (not to mention the occasional ad blockers and DNS filters) helped me endure that era.

For the love of all that is holy: if your employer only contributes but does not match, opt into your 401(k)! My employer contributes based on a tenure dependant percentage but does not match at all. If you opt in but do not contriubte, my employer still contributes. Some of my co-workers did not opt-in becuase they

I’m not sure what the issue with Fi, 8.0 and 6p was but I had Fi, 8.0 beta and a 6p for about 8 months, if my memory serves me right. I never had a network problem with that combination. I cannot personally dispute any delays since I’ve been in the beta program since Skip was a pup.

+1 I ran Oreo for about 6 months on my 6p because I was on beta. I can’t say I never saw a problem but the last update (before getting it replaced for an unrelated battery issue) to beta 4 is actually a stable release. The problems I did encounter were small and well worth the benefits of running Oreo.

I just got a Pixel XL to replace my Nexus 6P and my bluetooth headphones stuttered even though they never did with my 6P. After 2 minutes of hearing the stutter, I hit forums and within minutes found the solution was disabling Contact Sharing, in the settings for that specific bluetooth connection. The solution worked

For Android, you can use SwiftKey and enable emoji prediction. I will admit that I’m on beta and I’m not sure if it’s available in stable. I checked the feature list, in the Play Store, and couldn’t tell.

That is a barber case; not a briefcase.

I have a goal in my simple account that siphon $1 a day from my account. Simple.

I have used Google Docs for collaborating on school projects and it is truly amazing. For an MS Access course, of all things, a four member team had to submit about 6 docs, 4 presentations, and 1 worksheet. We were graded on our contribution so we couldn't delegate an entire assignment. We all had things we would be

My aunt made $95.52 an hour by watching a page load. Click the link above and send your bank account's account number and routing number telepathically. Success!!!

I have to agree with you on that. I've dealt with a lot of telcos at work and I would definitely choose EPB over everyone else. EPB isn't even, nor will probably ever be, available in my city so this isn't a biased opinion based my personal relationship with the company.

I've bought Tasker twice for $7. Once before Play Store (Android Market, at the time) purchases were available and later, after I flashed a ROM and Play Store purchases were available, and I figured "why not; I love it!". That's $14 to Pent. Support your devs!

My brother in law forwards crap all day long. I realized he is always copied as a recipient (go fig). So, Matches: from(brotherinlaw) to:(brotherinlaw), Do this: Skip Inbox, Delete It. I even set up that filter for my sister.

This is really worth it. I bought the license before you could actually buy apps in the Play Store then bought it again, just to support Pent, when you could actually buy apps in the Play Store.

LBE Security Master is great. My battery life has increased at least 75% by only preventing a few apps from starting at boot. It does a lot and the UI is nice (although, the latter makes the former confusing because the UI is not a traditional Android UI for the US). Here is the link to the XDA thread:

I like it so much that I purchased it twice; once before you could purchase through the Play Store and once after you could.

Vote: Comcast.

Use Tasker, instead.

Dear Giz,

Similar to the post above, I use "I Can't Wake Up" app for Android that makes me scan a barcode to turn it off (It is more stable, resistant, and configurable than the aforementioned Morning Routine) in conjunction with Clocky. I set both to go off at the same time. Each morning, I have to decide which beast to slay
